En Rendang heeft idd belang bij ADO...weet je welk belang: dat t ADO goed gaat no more no less.
Ongeloveloos dat elk tegengeluid hier de grond in getrapt wordt.

Every football crazed nation can relate to the feeling Marcelo had when he scored the first goal of the World Cup. In his defensive enthusiasm he misread the curve of a ball coming in from the left side. The signal from his brain to get himself out of the way of the ball never reached his leg in time. At first you could see his astonishment about his incapability to avoid this unfortunate moment. A few seconds later you saw the shame in his face, he could not believe this was really happening to him.

What Marcelo happened at the world cup is a combination of strategic decisions made, level of skill and a certain amount of bad luck (or good luck, depending on which side you perceive it from). It was a strategic decision to walk at that particular spot of the field. His level of skill, or lack of skill in this matter, made him unable to change his influence on the matter. Finally it was bad luck that the ball came in on that specific angle and with that specific curve. The level of bad luck Marcelo can blame his own goal on depends on his own strategic decision and his level of skill.



Why this explanation of what led up to this unfortunate moment of fame? Because every event in both personal and business life can be explained afterwards by the strategic decisions made, the level of skill a person has and the good/bad luck you encounter. Of these variables you can only influence the first two.

In the Netherlands, football club ADO Den Haag has been bought by a Chinese company named United Vansen. This deal has almost been completed, except for the money not being transferred yet. Every self-respecting businessman knows that this would be the moment to celebrate. About five days ago ADO Den Haag issued a press statement saying that they give United Vansen two weeks to transfer the money. If they do not receive the money by that time, they will use a penalty clause which has been added to the contract. This pressuring technique is used to try and make United Vansen pay as fast as possible.

The strategic decision to issue this press statement made based upon their level of expertise on doing business with Chinese has high influence on the level of bad luck you can point out as reason to failure or success. The statement made by ADO Den Haag towards their upcoming Chinese owner will have an effect, but will it be the positive effect that they expect?

The issued press release will definitely not make United Vansen pay quicker. The reason of the delayed payment is probably due to Chinese rules and regulations. For Chinese, overseas payments are a difficult and long process where a lot of uninfluential aspects dictate the amount of time it will take. What effect will this threat by ADO Den Haag then have? It will only cause the Chinese party to lose face, because ADO Den Haag states that United Vansen do not stick to their word. In the Chinese way, without confronting their counterparts, they will remember this move by ADO Den Haag and seemingly out of the blue strike back in a way that the Dutch will never understand.

Time will tell if the level of luck will still cause this shot at own goal by ADO Den Haag to actually go in to their own goal. However their strategic decision and their level of expertise about doing business in China have at least put them in the same position as Marcelo. If it actually goes in depends on everything but themselves. Is there a difference between Marcelo and ADO Den Haag? Marcelo had 79 minutes and 10 skilled teammates to still win the match. ADO Den Haag is in overtime and scoring this own goal would mean losing the game, leaving them astonished without understanding what just has happened.

Eens, ben ook blij als v. D gewoon blijft. Die jongen sleurt het hele veld over, en blijft gaan. Ja, misschien niet de meest begaafde technicus, maar gewoon een fijne hard werkende goeie no nonsens voetballer die ik er graag bij zie en met enige regelmaat z`n doelpuntje pakt. Hij mag zo nu en dan hier wel wat meer waardering krijgen. Maar goed, dat is mijn bescheiden mening. Btw, volgens mijn vrouw heb ik er dan ook de ballen verstand van ;-)

Oja, die jongen heet Van Duinen...je weet wel van die mooie stad achter de duinen,... waar moet die gozer dan spelen?

Poepon was 2 tot 2,5 ton. Nu van de loonlijst. En mogelijk ook nog een transfersom ontvangen.
Gouriye was 2 tot 2,5 ton. Ik denk dat Excelsior tussen de 50.000 en 100.000 betaald.
Tira was denk ik een duur talent. Die verdiende zeker tussen de 100.000 en 150.000 euro.
Esajas zal misschien een kleine ton verdient hebben. Maar RKC betaald nu denk ik circa 40.000 euro.
Beugelsdijk was goed voor een bedrag tussen de 50.000 en 80.000 euro. Nu van de loonlijst.
Cabral huurde wij denk ik voor circa 100.000 euro. Nu van de loonlijst.
Wildschut voor een half jaar is zo ook 30.000 euro. Nu van de loonlijst.
Supusepa verdiende denk ik tussen de 50.000 en 100.000 euro. Nu van de loonlijst.

Voor Korte, Meijers, Alberg en Zuiverloon zijn we meer gaan betalen. En Buwalda en Ebuehi hebben een klein contract getekend.

Maar zoals gezegd is dit alles een inschatting. Maar we hebben op salarispost zeker een halve ton bespaard.

Wat transfersommen betreft ook nog wel een aardige. Vorig jaar hebben we veel uitgegeven aan Gouriye. En we hebben Gerth en v.Haaren gekocht. Tot nu toe hebben we alleen Hansen gekocht. Ook daar geven we minder mee uit.

Er moet daarom ook zonder de Chinesen liggend geld zijn voor versterkingen!

Ik denk dat je al die salarissen op Poepon na op zijn minst kunt halveren hoor, zoveel verdienen ze echt niet bij Den Haag
